We have different skin types and colours, and goals, and some habits that are not skin-friendly – all of which impacts the way our skin behaves, reacts or ages. And with endless treatment and skincare  out there, understanding and the right plan can be a little bit of a minefield.

If you have mild skin concerns or you’d like to feel more in your skin but you’re unsure where to start, a free personalised skin consultation with a or nurse at sk:n can help you gain a deeper understanding of your skin, and which treatment and skincare programmes will get you to the best skin of your life.

What happens in the skin consultation

Our aim is to find out what you love and don’t love about your skin, if you have any  skin concerns and what your skin goals are. We  that with a full skin and assessment, so we can create the right treatment and skincare plan for you.

During your consultation, we’ll remove makeup or products from so we can fully examine your skin, including the texture, thickness and colour which could concerns such as acne or pigmentation. Your skin will also be examined under a skin scanner, which can indicate if your skin is healthy, dehydrated, oily, congested or has sun damage. We will take your before photos, so you can see your progress throughout your treatment plan.

We’ll then your daily and monthly skincare and plan to get the best for you and your skin. We may recommend a number of options including peels, microneedling or Hydrafacial, and skincare to use at home.  on your goals or the severity of your skin concern, we will refer you to a doctor or  nurse. And if you are in injectables as a to the signs of ageing, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber too.

Your skin will be fully  for a number of skin concerns, your skin goals will be assessed, and your personalised treatment plan will be . To secure an appointment, we will require a deposit. Your credit or debit card details will be against your booking. For Practitioner or Nurse consultations we take a fully refundable ( to terms) deposit of £25 and £50 for Doctor led consultations. Please refer to our for more information.

Your skin consultation lasts around minutes. This will allow the practitioner to fully assess your skin and your skin goals, discuss your concerns and create a recommended treatment plan.

The consultation is completely free, but we do require a £25 deposit to secure your consultation. You won’t be if you attend your appointment, or you cancel or move your over 48 hours before your in line with our cancellation policy.​

The cost of your treatment and/or plan will be during your consultation, but treatment can start from £59, on your clinic.

Your will be with one of our specialist nurses or practitioners with extensive knowledge of the skin. Should you have a more severe skin concern, they can also refer you into a doctor or  if you need to see one. We will ask you to come makeup free, but feel free to bring some with you to put on after the if you wish.

Our expert skin will ask a variety of questions which are to help them create the best plan of action to tackle your skin concern. For example:

You can wear makeup to your appointment, however, we recommend that you come makeup free so that we can spend the maximum amount of time assessing your skin. We cannot fully your skin with makeup on as we need to assess the texture, thickness and colour which could indicate concerns such as acne or sensitivity.

Step 1 – We will have a chat with you about everything you don’t love about your skin, whether you have any particular concerns and what your goals are to help us create your personalised plan.

Step 2 – Before photos will be taken, us to track your progress throughout your treatment plan.
